Our Commitment to Sustainability

As a company that cares deeply about our impact on people and the planet, we are dedicated to searching the world over to bring our customers sustainable products. These offerings include those made from easily renewable or recycled resources, those that are easily recycled or composted, or those that promote the health of our environment and homes. We’re proud to make a difference through our commitment to sustainability, and will continue to evaluate our suppliers, materials, and sustainability practices to ensure we are doing all we can to protect our environment.

Our Environmental Policy

The Container Store is passionate about the environment and is fully committed to reducing the overall environmental footprint of our operations. We are focused on what matters most to our customers, employees, communities, shareholders, and the preservation of our planet.

To demonstrate our commitment to creating a better environment, we are focused on reducing consumption and transitioning to renewable energy. As part of our commitment and effort, all of our stores, distribution centers, and corporate office power are offset by our investment in 100% renewable energy, powered by one of the cleanest power sources: wind.

The Container Store recently joined the EPA Green Power Partnership as one of the many companies in our sector making the move to renewable energy.

The following list represents annual water consumption for The Container Store from July 2020 to June 2021. Water consumption is inclusive of the support center, distribution center, and store locations.
