Melissa Reiff , Chief Executive Officer

Prior to assuming her role as Chief Executive Officer in July 2016, Melissa Reiff served as our President since early 2006, adding Chief Operating Officer to her title in March 2013, and has served on our board of directors since August 2007 (and on the board of directors of The Container Store, Inc. since February 2006). Ms. Reiff joined The Container Store in 1995 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. She created and formalized our Sales and Marketing department and was responsible for sales management, training, advertising, e-business marketing, public relations and new store grand opening launches. In 2003 Ms. Reiff assumed the role of Executive Vice President of Stores and Marketing, as she was responsible for further integrating the stores and marketing functions. As President and Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Reiff was responsible for the business areas of Store Leadership, Marketing (including Advertising, Online, Customer Relationship Management, Public Relations, Cultural Programs, Community Relations and Social Media), Training and Development, Recruiting, Information Systems, Legal, Loss Prevention and Logistics and Distribution. Ms. Reiff has played a critical role in enhancing and strengthening The Container Store’s employee-first culture centered around our values-based Foundation Principles. She is a member of the Dallas chapter of the American Marketing Association, International Women’s Foundation and C200, an organization of leading women in business dedicated to fostering growth and increasing opportunities for women entrepreneurs and corporate leaders worldwide. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Etsy, Inc. (NASDAQ: ETSY), Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business Executive Board and is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Dallas. Recently Ms. Reiff was honored with the 2012-2013 SMU Cox School of Business Distinguished Alumna award.

Sharon Tindell , President & Chief Merchandising Officer

Sharon Tindell has served as our Chief Merchandising Officer since early 2006, added the role of President to her role in July 2016, and has served on our board of directors since August 2007 (and on the board of directors of The Container Store, Inc. since April 1988). In 1980 she joined us full-time working on the sales floor, managing inventory and participating in other tasks that put her in direct touch with the store’s innovative product mix and customers’ storage and organization challenges. In 1981 Ms. Tindell became our first buyer. Ms. Tindell leads our merchandising vision, as well as its focus on custom closet solutions, development of exclusive and proprietary products, store format and design, and the visual impact of the customer’s shopping experience. She also oversees supply chain and logistics, as well as the Company’s elfa International AB subsidiary. Ms. Tindell is credited with maintaining The Container Store’s devotion to its original concept of storage and organization products. Ms. Tindell served as Executive Vice President of Merchandising, beginning in 1992 and attained the title of Chief Merchandising Officer in August 2006. In 2006, Ms. Tindell was inducted into the Retailing Hall of Fame, the first woman selected for this honor. Ms. Tindell also serves on the board of directors of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.

Jodi Taylor , Chief Financial Officer and Administrative Officer

Jodi Taylor has served as our Chief Financial Officer since December 2007 adding Chief Administrative Officer to her responsibilities in July 2016. Ms. Taylor is responsible for guiding all of The Container Store’s finance and accounting practices, inclusive of its investor relations and SEC reporting functions, as well as directing its real estate operations, loss prevention and risk management efforts, payroll and benefits programs. Prior to joining us, Ms. Taylor served as Chief Financial Officer and Secretary from 1998 to 2007 at Harold’s, a publicly-traded apparel retailer which filed for bankruptcy in 2008. From 1986-1998, Ms. Taylor was an executive with Baby Superstore, Inc. or successor companies, which after an IPO in 1994, was ultimately acquired by Toys ‘‘R’’ Us, Inc. in 1996. Ms. Taylor was formerly an auditor with Deloitte, Haskins, & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche).

Melissa Collins , Chief Marketing Officer

Melissa Collins assumed this role in July 2016 after most recently serving as Vice President of Creative and Online. Joining The Container Store in 1997 as an art director, Ms. Collins has held numerous positions within the retailer’s in-house creative department playing an integral role in the development of its sophisticated, yet fun-loving brand, as well as in the strategy and execution of the Company’s digital initiatives. In her role, in addition to directing the Company’s creative vision and having responsibility for all aspects of its digital sales channels, Ms. Collins oversees enterprise-wide marketing functions, including the Company’s POP! customer engagement and loyalty program, new store marketing, media, regional marketing and public relations.

Eva Gordon , Executive Vice President of Stores & Employee Development

Assuming her most current role in July 2016, Eva Gordon joined The Container Store in 2006 bringing two decades of retail leadership, sales and operations experience to the brand. She is expert at creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional employee training and motivation. Most recently serving as Vice President of Stores, Training & Development, and Recruiting, Ms. Gordon oversees the leadership and operations of all of the Company’s stores, its new store and remodel processes, store facilities, procurement and the recruiting, training and development of the Company’s 6,000 employees, in addition to its Contained Home in-home organization service.

John Thrailkill , Executive Vice President of IT and Business Development

John Thrailkill assumed this role in July 2016 after most recently serving as Vice President of Store Systems & Business Development. Since joining the Company in 1991 in full-time sales, Mr. Thrailkill has served in a wide variety of capacities ranging from store management, operations and training to marketing and e-commerce, contributing to countless company milestone developments and initiatives over the past 25 years. Currently, Mr. Thrailkill oversees all technology strategy, development, operations and management, as well as the Company’s contact center, which includes its business to business sales and installation teams.
